First Class Double Rotor Skeleton

Double Rotor 20th Anniversary model

In this exclusive limited series produced to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its invention, PERRELET raises the Double Rotor mechanism to a new peak or refinement.

With the First Class Double Rotor Skeleton, equipped with an in-house Manufacture movement, Caliber P-481, PERRELET associates the horological tradition of its innovative Double Rotor concept with its skeleton-work expertise. Through this ingenious combination, the openworked dial enables the eye to rove freely into the depths of the mechanism, gently rocked by the natural rhythm of the second rotor.

The collection introduces two original timepieces, of which each detail flaunts the brand’s watchmaking expertise. The 42.5 mm-diameter round case in stainless steel or 18K 4N rose gold is enhanced by elegant fluting on the sides, traditional decoration and the PERRELET signature. The finely fluted dial punctuated by golden hour-markers is generously openworked in the center to reveal the entire movement. The 18K 4N rose gold Double Rotor thus highlighted features a brand-new design with a “Côtes de Genève” finish and a special engraving to mark this jubilee. Loyal to its history, PERRELET has maintained the visible jewel at the center of the mechanism, thus enlivening the décor with a distinctive accent. A genuine alligator leather strap fitted with an 18K 4N rose gold folding clasp adds a final touch of elegance.

This splendid First Class Double Rotor Skeleton with its pure, restrained lines is issued in limited series of 250 for the steel model and 77 for the rose gold model. It admirably reflects the excellence of watchmaking expertise and is liberally inspired by the illustrious founder of the House. This collection embodies a new generation of timepieces exuding creative boldness while remaining firmly attached to the fundamentals of the Maison Perrelet.

Turbine Skeleton / The Turbine reveals its inner workings

Perrelet is over 200 years old and lives in step with its time while honoring its rich tradition of high-quality watchmaking. It mingles its technical expertise with a flair for contemporary aesthetics in creating the Turbine Skeleton collection. For the very first time, the Maison combines a skeleton movement with a turbine, thereby completely reinventing its iconic model: the details and dimensions are redesigned and the materials are evolving, as Perrelet takes on a new challenge thanks to a unique horological concept.

The very nature of a skeleton timepiece lies in playing with transparency effects. That is precisely what Perrelet achieves by entirely skeletonizing its finely crafted in-house movement, Caliber P-381, featuring cut-out effects revealing its inner workings. The Perrelet engravers and watchmakers demonstrate peerless finesse in performing this stunning skeletonization requiring a high degree of competence and accurate knowledge of the movement’s technical constraints. The finely trimmed components and finishes add a final touch to the beauty of the movement.

Perrelet also masters these transparency effects in aesthetic terms, since they represent the main feature of the concept behind the Turbine collections. On this model, the aluminum turbine is directly mounted on the under-dial, itself openworked so as not to obstruct the view inside. When spinning at full speed, the movement’s ethereal architecture is revealed through each of its openings. Never before had it been possible to admire skeleton movements in such a fascinating way.

The 44 mm-diameter case of this new collection is available in steel with a black PVD coating, or fitted with a 4N pink gold bezel. The inner bezel ring ensures optimal readability thanks to luminescent Arabic numerals and hour-markers. The hour and minute hands are coated in Superluminova, while the red seconds hand stands out clearly against this backdrop. The timepieces in the Turbine Skeleton collection are fitted with innovative black bi-material straps: calfskin leather with a polyurethane core to guarantee ergonomics and a comfortable feel on the wrist; or black rubber for a resolutely sporty look.

The Turbine Skeleton adopts a chic tone and asserts its own style. While drawing upon the watchmaking codes rooted in the brand DNA, this exceptional model is an undeniably contemporary timepiece that will appeal as much to watchmaking connoisseurs as to design lovers.

With the Turbine Skeleton, Perrelet for the first time combines a skeleton movement with a turbine. It thereby entirely reinvents its iconic model and takes up a new challenge thanks to a unique horological concept. The inherent nature of a skeleton timepiece is to play with the principle of transparency. That is precisely what Perrelet has achieved by entirely openworking its finely crafted in-house Caliber P-381, featuring cut-outs revealing its inner structure. When whirling at full speed, the Turbine thereby showcases the airy architecture of the movement through each of its openings – the first time a skeleton movement can be admired in this way!
Perrelet wishes to thank all internet voters, of which the majority opted for the Turbine Skeleton and who clearly appreciated the originality of its concept. A passion for timeless watchmaking and meticulous techniques have jointly inspired the Perrelet watchmakers in creating the new First Class Open Heart collection, a fresh new expression of simplicity enriching the brand’s hallmark First Class collection. The Open Heart model expresses Perrelet’s longstanding attachment to traditional horology, enhanced by an unmistakably modern touch. The brand thereby dedicates aesthetic purity to the service of mechanical beauty.

Within the First Class Open Heart collection, the heart of the movement reigns supreme. The elegant balance wheel of the P-391 Manufacture movement may be admired through the 6 o’clock dial opening and provides a glimpse of its oscillations, offering a new interpretation of the personality exuded by both the men’s and ladies’ versions.

Classic, elegant and undeniably bearing the Perrelet signature, the men’s watches feature a stainless steel 42.5 mm-diameter steel case. The First Class Lady Open Heart collection with its dainty 35 mm case is dedicated to women and comprises timepieces that are innately elegant in terms of both design and dimensions, framing a black and white dial graced with Arabic numerals. The Turbine XL by Perrelet sees red!

The color red, symbolizing action, passion and strength, infuses the new dial of Perrelet’s two latest Turbine XL models with the powerful intensity associated with the dynamic principle of this collection.

In creating the first Turbine, the Perrelet engineers and designers devised a concept based on a sophisticated aesthetic featuring energetic, sporty lines. They drew inspiration from aeronautics in dreaming up an essentially visual rather than technical interpretation of Perrelet’s patented Double Rotor. The latter is transformed into a turbine fitted with 12 titanium blades and which, when set into motion, provides tantalizing glimpses of the spectacular red and black under-dial. The hour-markers on the black inner bezel ring accentuate the optical effect and contribute to the mesmeric fascination of this model.

This imposingly virile timepiece radiates undeniable strength with its 48 mm case available in an all black PVD-coated stainless steel version or a two-tone variation with titanium case middle and black PVD-coated bezel and caseback. A rubber strap with a pin buckle complements the challenger-style spirit of this watch, while the compact nature of its design is highlighted by the discreet crown merging seamlessly into the case.

Admirably reflecting both the horological expertise and the artistic skills cultivated by Perrelet, the Turbine XL is driven by the self-winding P-331 movement with a 42-hour power reserve. This fine mechanism entirely developed and produced in-house at the brand’s production sites may be admired through a transparent sapphire caseback.

These latest Turbine XL models emblematic of the range open up whole new vistas and are an invitation to adventure. They are intended for active, passionately enthusiastic personalities with fiery temperaments who are drawn to a lively, spirited aesthetic based on firm and vigorous lines.

Turbine Yacht and Turbine Diver The Waves of Time

Perrelet celebrates the beauty of the sea and the desire for discovery with two timepieces featuring high technical performance and unique design: Turbine Yacht and Turbine Diver.

Perrelet presents the Turbine Yacht collection, a new watch line that will prove an excellent seagoing companion, combining Perrelet’s famous Turbine with a function stemming from the maritime world: the windrose. The Turbine Yacht, an evolved version of the Turbine Diver model, combines within a single watch the aesthetic and ornamental design codes of the most prestigious ships.

The 47 mm-diameter steel case of the Turbine Yacht, water-resistant to 300 meters, comes in several colors thanks to a black or bronze-toned PVD coating. The dial is enlivened by a titanium turbine featuring 11 blades reminiscent of a submarine propeller, rotating above a resolutely marine-themed décor of parallel lines evoking the teakwood decking of a yacht. The under-dial is further enhanced by a central metal applique. The Turbine Yacht will thus offer the possibility of keeping to the set course and following a given direction thanks to the integrated windrose function. Simply taking a few points of reference and orientation from the position of the sun will be enough to deduce the various cardinal directions.

With Perrelet, the sea may be explored by skimming across the surface, as well as in depth with models from the Turbine Diver collection providing an opportunity to adorn the wrist with a timepiece featuring various diving-inspired functions and technical characteristics.

The Turbine Diver collection comprises four models with a 47 mm-diameter steel case, water-resistant to 30 atmospheres, some of them bearing a black PVD coating. The inner rotating bezel ring serves to take easy immersion-time measurements and provides a highly legible display on a 20-minute segment by means of a play on colors and volumes. This function is controlled via a screw-locked crown at 10 o’clock that prevents inadvertent handling while diving. On the Diver line, the 11-blade titanium turbine spins freely over an under-dial coated with Superluminova, which glows and diffuses a vivid color in the underwater darkness. Superluminova also covers the Arabic numerals, the main hour-markers as well as the subtly black-rimmed hours and minutes hands.

The Turbine Yacht and Turbine Diver collections are driven by the exclusive P-331 caliber, entirely produced in the Perrelet workshops. This movement oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a 42-hour power reserve.

Through its fascinatingly creative 2014 models, the Classic Double Rotor collection by Perrelet provides a new interpretation of its unique charm. Its exclusive technical nature is highlighted through an original chromatic approach.

Perrelet offers a collection exuding a traditional appeal, within which the brand’s inventiveness mingles with the originality and singularity of a double-rotor movement – a patented invention from the House embodying the brand’s very quintessence. The Double Rotor enables its user to admire at all times the delicate oscillating movement that recharges the movement and enhances automatic winding.

Perrelet’s Classic Double Rotor collection presents two unusual timepieces of which each and every detail proclaims the brand’s expertise. The 40 mm-diameter stainless steel round case is topped by a smooth bezel providing an admirable counterpoint for the fluting of the case middle – a traditional decorative touch that has become a House signature.

The black and white dial forms an ideal backdrop for welcoming and highlighting a series of gold-toned details arranged in concentric circles. The gold-toned hour-markers around the circumference pick up the shape and color of the hours and minutes hands, while an inner gold circle marks off the seconds and frames the 6 o’clock date window. At the very center of the dial, the second rotor distinguished by its gold-toned color swings gently around a red heart matching the shade of the seconds hand.

The watches in the Classic Double Rotor collection are equipped with the exclusive double-rotor P-181 movement oscillating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hour (4 Hz), and endowed with a 42-hour power reserve.

Each watch in the collection is teamed with a refined black alligator leather strap secured by a pushpiece-fastening steel folding clasp.

The Turbine Takes Flight

Consistently guided by a spirit of innovation, Perrelet is now rising to a new challenge with the launch of the brand’s new Turbine Pilot collection, a tribute to the world of aviation which, like that of fine watchmaking, features a blend of technical knowhow, passion, precision and audacity.

The new Turbine Pilot collection by Perrelet associates the Turbine concept with that of the circular aviation slide rule: a new technical and stylistic exercise for a truly unique aviator watch.

At the heart of the collection beats the mechanical automatic P-311 caliber entirely developed and produced in-house at the brand’s production sites.

The four models in the collection assert a unique character marrying power and elegance. The stainless steel cases display a generous 48 mm-diameter featuring the Perrelet’s distinctive fluted pattern. Ensuring a resolutely masculine and sporty look, some models come in steel cases with a black PVD coating, a treatment ensuring excellent protection and enhancing the refined aesthetics of the watch.

The bidirectional rotating dial ring is activated via a crown at 3 o’clock, while the time is set with an integrated crown at 9 o’clock.

The luminescent white hour-markers and four Arabic numerals meticulously applied on the sapphire dial, above the Turbine, make a striking contrast with the yellow and black background: a combination of typical aviation colors that is further intensified when the Turbine is in action. The clever layered arrangement of the elements gives this collection a distinctive three-dimensional look. To ensure optimal readability, the dial and the spiral at the dial center are luminescent white.

The straps chosen for this collection are in black rubber or calf leather. The latter are ingeniously constructed in a manner guaranteeing an optimal fit and absolute comfort. To perfect the overall harmony of the Turbine Pilot, the pin buckles bear the same finishes as the cases.

The “New Diamond Flower Gold” Blossoms On Valentine’s Day In The Garden Of Perrelet Creations

The most precious of all materials to celebrate the noblest of feelings. Perrelet interprets its range of exclusively feminine timepieces, New Diamond Flower, in a refined pink gold version. The New Diamond Flower Gold is a jewelry watch that speaks of love and makes an ideal gift for a sweetheart on the day dedicated to lovers.

The New Diamond Flower Gold blossoms in the garden of original creations by Perrelet, like the lotus that inspired it. Soft colors, together with simple and harmonious lines, express a naturally sensual femininity. The unusual 36.5 mm-diameter case in 4N 18K gold houses the self-winding P-181 movement with a Double Rotor, exclusively patented by Perrelet and guaranteeing a 42-hour power reserve.

Expressing the creative audacity and technical expertise of the House, the second rotor serving to wind the mechanism takes on the original and graceful appearance of a lotus flower dancing across the dial – itself adorned with an evocative motif recalling waves rippling across a pond. Three precious petals set with 24 diamonds form the indexes, interspersed with elegant Roman numerals marking off the main hours – a subtle combination enlivening the dial gracefully swept over by the hours, minutes and seconds hands.

The strap, either in alligator leather or a sportier, supple and comfortable rubber version, comes in three different shades to match the dial color: pure white, intense black and delectable chocolate. The steel folding clasp is enhanced by a precious pink gold cover.
