In 1995, as a tribute to Abraham-Louis Perrelet, inventor
of the automatic watch and founder of the Perrelet
brand, the engineers and watchmakers developed one
of the pioneering models of the Swiss watchmaking history,
the Perrelet Double Rotor movement. This movement
allows a rotor to be observed on the dial side,
interlinked with the traditional rotor located beneath
the mechanism. Thanks to this system, wearers can
check the automatic charging function of their timepiece
at any time.
In 1999, and then again the following year, the very first
skeleton watch with double rotor and the automatic chronograph
with double rotor were added to this collection.
When Perrelet was relaunched in 2005, the automatic
double rotor models assumed an important segment
in the new collection. Available with either a round or
tonneau design and in a choice of steel or pink gold
cases, these models are incorporated into a collection
that reflects the contemporary interpretation of a long
and rich watchmaking history. |
