Composed of watchmaking professionals, the jury members go through the novelties launched on the Swiss market since last autumn and more particularly during the two mains Fairs. We have been very happy to learn that our « Jumping Hour, big second » has been selected and meets to the 6 criteria’s defined by the jury.
The selection procedure has several steps.
Each member makes his own and personal selection. A first choice is done by the jury based on motivated proposals which have to be defended during the sessions.
Control and complementary information lead to a first selection of around 40 models.
The jury ballot, attributing a note for each criteria, eliminating successively until « la Montre de l’Année » is selected.
« La Montre de l’Année » comes in four parts :
Jury price – the women model is called « Montre Dame de l’Année »
Public prize – The public can vote by SMS or post based on the poster which is distributed in several Swiss magazines.
Jury special prize - can reward an exceptional watch that would not answer to the criterias. This prize is not rewarded every year.
